Class Liaison Role
A Vital Role
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable summer. On behalf of the Southwell School Association (SSA), we would like to warmly welcome new parents and families to Southwell this year.
As parents of a current student, you are automatically a member of the SSA. The main aim of the SSA is to further the Southwell community through active parent involvement. Our activities include organising social events for parents and children, supporting the School in productions and activities and fundraising for specific resources the School may not otherwise access.
The SSA meets twice each term on Tuesday evenings in the School Dining Room to which all parents are welcome. Additionally, each class is represented by one or two Class Liaisons. This role is vital to the successful communication between parents and the SSA. We are currently looking for volunteers in each class to take on this role. If you would like more information around what this role entails, please click on the link below.
If you would like to be a Class Liaison, please complete the Google doc by 15th February following the link below.
Annual General Meeting
The next AGM for the SSA will be held on the 6th of March. The Executive roles (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer) for the SSA are open and will be voted on at the AGM. Any parent who is interested in a role on the Executive should ensure a Nomination Form has been submitted in advance of the AGM where they have been nominated and seconded. Nomination forms are available in the Management Centre. The deadline for nominations for the SSA Executive is 12pm on the 6th March.
If you have any questions about the SSA, please contact me. We hope to see you at the AGM.
