YEAR 7 SHOWCASE : HARRY POTTER
The evening settled in, as family and friends began to fill up the empty auditorium which we, the classes of Year 7, were going to perform in.
Excitement filled the Drama Room as the clock ticked, signaling the performance to start.
With one final check that everything was in place, the audience’s chatter soon hushed into a tranquil silence and the show began. The bright spotlights illuminated in the fuzzy darkness. My voice quivered as I spoke. My heart was in my throat as rows and rows of faces stared back at me.
Shining eyes of pride glowed from my classmates’ faces as we gushed out into the foyer. Cool breezes glided through the open doors as I gripped onto my parents' hands and walked out into the crispy night air. By the look on my classmates, I could tell they enjoyed it as much as I did!
