FOOTBALL
Another successful Southwell football season was played in 2021.
Again, we were hampered by Covid-19 but we stayed resilient and got stuck in at every opportunity. The beautiful game continues to be strong at Southwell, with 15 teams entered in competitions - three of which were girls' teams.
All teams had excellent seasons, with support from a highly capable and enthusiastic contingent of coaches.
Players at Southwell benefit from this wonderful support, and the quality of the game at all levels continues to improve.
Well done to the Southwell Ferns who finished the season by taking out the Derby Cup in a nail-biting decider against Southwell Rimu.
We look forward to another season of football action in 2022.
