written or e-mailed permission of both the host parent and the parent of the visiting child. Verbal permission will not be accepted.
These regulations are legal requirements and need to be adhered to strictly boarding house staff need to know where your child is at all times.
If they wish, parents may give the Heads of Boarding a short list of family/friends whom their child may accompany for short leave periods e.g. lunch/tea without their immediate knowledge.
After weekends, students are required to be back at school between 6.30 and 7.30 pm unless they need to attend their Family Service earlier. Please note that no meals are served in the Dining Room on Sundays so boarders need to have had dinner prior to their return on Sunday evenings.
Students always depart from and return to school in their school uniform.
Casual leave may be granted during the week or over the weekend, but we ask that parents consider the routines of the Boarding House when making their arrangements. It is preferable that parents who wish to take their children out of the Boarding House at times other than specified leave periods, advise Heads of Boarding as far in advance as possible. It is also preferable that such leave occurs outside of designated routine times. It is especially important that Boarders are returned to the Boarding House before 8pm. Refer to Routines in the Handbook.
LOCKABLE DRAWERS
Every student in the boarding house has a lockable drawer where they are able to lock away valuable possessions. (e.g. chargers, cameras, personal journals etc.) A padlock must be provided by the student and a labelled spare key is handed to the Heads of Boarding for safekeeping.
