 Weekend Routine
All boarders go home for weekends; either after school on Fridays from 3:20 pm onwards or after sport on Saturdays. Boarders who do not have sports fixtures on Saturdays may stay in on Friday nights if there are other boarders staying overnight in order to play matches on the Saturday. Otherwise parents will be asked to collect their children on Friday afternoon. Boarders staying in on Friday and who are not playing sport need to be picked up before 10:00 am on Saturday.
Friday:
Boarders staying in overnight have some free time and some organised activities until dinner at 5.15pm. After dinner, they are supervised by the staff member on duty and tutors.
Saturday:
After breakfast, boarders involved in Saturday morning sport depart for their fixtures. Boarders not involved in sport must be picked up by parents by 10:00 am.
Sunday:
Students returning from leave should ensure that they have had dinner before returning to school. Boarders must report back from leave between 6.30 pm and 7.30 pm at the latest, or by 8.00 am on the following morning.
SATURDAY SPORT
The draw for Saturday games can be found on the School Website in the Parents Tab under Sport. A Boarders’ Sports Draw is usually also e-mailed to parents on a weekly basis. Cancellations will be posted on the School website. Alerts are also sent via the Southwell App which can be downloaded by parents.
SWEETS AND TREATS
Please do not send or give your sons and daughters sweets, crisps and home-baking. We manage treats like these from the Boarding House. We are making an effort to teach the children lifelong habits around healthy eating so we would appreciate your support in this regard.
