Scholarships

The Southwell School Foundation Trust and the Southwell School Old Boys’ and Girls’ Association provide assistance to the School each year.  This assistance is available to families who may need support with tuition or other fees due to special or unforeseen circumstances. Families may apply in writing, at any time, to the Headmaster giving a brief outline of their circumstances and indicating the level of support they seek.  This assistance is available for both current and new students at any year level.  Assistance decisions are at the discretion of the Headmaster and are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Applications are invited each year for this scholarship which provides support to a student whose financial situation may not allow them to attend Southwell School. Candidates must currently be in Year 6 and attending either Hukanui Primary School, Rototuna Primary School or Te Totara Primary School.  The Scholarship is tenable for the duration of the successful student’s education at Southwell School in Years 7 and/or Year 8.

The value of this scholarship is up to $5,000 per annum, off Tuition fees.

Rototuna New World Scholarship Applications are now CLOSED for 2025.

Applications for 2026 applicants will open in April 2025.
